Steve's Ride (on Moving Day)... '95 Nissan Pathfinder
Boy, the picture above (not me, BTW) sure brings back memories...
The dealer gave me the keys and said "take her home for the weekend... drive her around!"
I asked my Uncle Kermit (a U.S. Park Ranger) to take it aout with me and compare it to the NPS vehicles he drives around in.
He took me way up into a mountain "holler" that we almost got stuck in later after a flash-flood turned the trail road into a small creek!
Did I mention we were miles up in the mountains... with some really nice ravines and drop-offs all over the place.
I experienced some major pucker-factor that day.
But we made it out.
We only put one dent in it... under the driver door body panel... must have been that log that washed up in the road.
The dealer never seemed to notice. No paint chipped... .
On the way back to the dealer, Mom almost managed to set it on fire. No kidding.
Life is an adventure.
