Charthill@aol.com

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry about Charthill Scottish Terriers. I wish
I could be of some help to you at this time in your search, but right now we
aren't expecting to have puppies available again before the end of October.

If you want to keep in touch, I would be happy to let you know what
our status is. Often I hear of puppies available with Charthill breeding,
and we sometimes know where there is a litter sired by our dogs. Many times,
it is a matter of puppies that are spoken for, and then become available. I
can let you know about those also. Please write to me on a frequent basis
(at least every two weeks) to stay on the active list. It is the way I
maintain a waiting list. If I don't hear from you, I have to drop your name
off the list. We have been getting between 30-40 inquiries monthly.
I have a waiting list. But as time draws near, it can evaporate when
people change their mind, decide not to wait etc. I don't take a deposit
until I actually have a puppy designated for you. We place our puppies no
earlier than 12 weeks of age. It is much better for their socialization.

Where do you live? We are in South Carolina.
When you write to me, can you tell me your experiences with Scotties?
I like to know the answers to the following questions:
Have you had a Scottie before?
How long did it live, and the cause of death?
Do you have other dogs and what are their sexes?
How may people in your family, and is there anyone home in the day?
Do you have a fenced area so the dog can be outside from time to time without
a leash or chain?
Does your dog sleep with you?
Do you groom your dog or go to a groomer?
Do you have contact with small children(ours are generally good with kids)?
Do you have a preference for color?
Preference for male or female?
If you never had a scottie before, would you buy a book, or borrow one from
the library? Scotties are not for everyone.
Are you interested in showing a dog?
Does your dog go on vacation with you?
Do you have a swimming pool?
Do you or any of your family have allergies to dogs or flea medications?
How do you housebreak your dogs?
Where do you keep your dog when you leave the house?
Do you plan to breed a litter in the future?

If you haven't seen our website, here is the link
http://www.charthillscotties.com

There are two articles there with advice. "Buying a Scottie" and "About Us".
All the information about prices etc is there. When you look at it, if this
is the kind of Scottie you are looking for, please write back to me.
Feel free to print the articles for future reference, and do follow the
suggestions. Remember, all puppies are cute, but they grow up, and they have
to be a member of your family. Take your time to find the right baby.

Hi,

Sorry but all of the pups from this litter have been spoken for already. We are expecting a new litter (different mother, of course) a few months. Our pups are ready to move to their new homes at 8-9 wks old.  At that time, they will have been vet checked and will be  up to date on their shots and worming. We will be asking $450 (blk) to $525 (wheaten) for our boys and $500 (blk) to $550 (wheaten) for their sisters. Health certificate & records, written health guarantee, copies of the parents' pedigrees, and of course AKC litter papers will be furnished with the pup.

We are west of Clarksville, TN and offer free delivery (by car) up to 125 miles from us. Or when shipped, our pups fly American (PPS) or Delta (Pets First).  Shipping charges are $205 ($172 for air fare and $33 for a shipping kennel). They both do an excellent job of getting our babies safely to their new homes.

If you haven't found a pup by the time our next litter arrives or if you have any questions, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Talk to you later,

Connie

PS Sorry to hear of your recent loss=(
