Hey, Ya Know What?

Where to start? Monday usually brings plenty to talk about. Ok, first, Evette and I had an overnight babysitter for all of the kids. It has been at least 6 months since we went out, had a good time, and went to sleep in a quiet house. We went to dinner and then bowling. I love to bowl and this is the first time in our 8 year marriage that we went bowling together. It was a blast. Our newly married friends, Alan and Kim, went with us. Evette surprised me. She was actually serviceable as a recreational bowler. It was Riley's first time away from us, so that was tough on Vette.

Sunday morning my Dad was sick, so I was the only instrumentation during praise and worship. I don't hold it against him at all. If you are sick you are sick. But you don't realize how much you miss someone up there until they are gone. I couldn't lead worship at church without the team. I just can not say that enough.

I took the lead, barring a Priest Holmes miracle, in my division in fantasy football this week. Get this, I did with QUINCY CARTER as my starting QB. Wow. No Peyton and no Fred and I beat the guy that I was tied for the lead with. Awe-some.

Ernie says nice things about me. I don't think I deserve it, but it's good when someone lets you know you make a difference. I think Ernie is very close to not selling himself so short. That is not a mean thing to say either. It implies that there is tons that he needs to acknowledge as being good and right that heretofore, he has not.

I'll post later and try to be funny.
