1987. What a year. What a great school year 87-88 was. I was 15 and a sophomore. I talked about G 'n' R the other day and how Appetite for Destruction was a world changer in music that year. Well, the same year, these albums were also released...

The Joshua Tree - U2 - Favorite Song - Still Haven't Found
INXS - Kick - Favorite Song - New Sensation
Sign '0 the Times - Prince - Favorite Song - I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
Def Leppard - Hysteria - Favorite Song - Armageddon It
Terence Trent D'Arby - Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby - Favorite Song - Wishing Well
LL Cool J - Bigger and Deffer - Favorite Song - I'm Bad
Michael Jackson - Bad - Favorite Song - Smooth Criminal

Are you kiddin' me? I remember all of these CASSETTES being in heavy rotation at one point or another. I'm lucky if I find 2 or 3 albums in a year these days that really stick with me the way some these have.

Other great things about '87. Mrs. Waldenhauer's geography class was cool. The last class that me and ALL of my best friends were all in together. I had a 100 average in geometry for the YEAR. That's right, when it comes to talking about the Pythagorean theorem and other such wild and crazy geometric principles, I am a bad mamma jamma. Actually, I'm just a bad mamma jamma period. Girlfriends that year... There were a few... Amber, Amy, and Christy are the most memorable names. I won't list last names so as to protect their privacy. Plus, I don't remember a couple of them. I think my school was 0-10 in football that year. Go Raiders!

Maybe next time I'll reminisce on 89-90. That year Ernie and I actually had a class together! Course I was a Senior and he was a dork Soph trying to find his way. I'm sure I didn't help much. Eh well....
