Ok, I'm gonna get on a roll with cartoons. Here's another rant for you. I've gone back and watched the old Smurf episodes with my kids. I have a whole new perspective on them as an adult. The Smurfs were COMMUNISTS! Don't believe me? Here is my case.

They shared everything. Remember the mushroom house they had that was dedicated to food storage? All the food went there as soon as it was harvested.

They all had their own job and did no one elses. Handy Smurf, Jokey Smurf, Brainy, etc. One time they all tried to do each other's job's and failed miserably. Of course they did! In a communist society everyone has their place and can not step out of it.

They all dressed alike. Again, no indiviuality. Well, Papa Smurf did get to wear red. RED!

Gargamel. Where does he fit in? Well, he wanted to capture the Smurfs and use them to make gold. Ergo, Caplitalism wanted to crush communism for material gain! Gargamel represented caplitolism.

Nevermind that the Smurfs were a Hungarian creation....

The Smurfs last episode was in 1990. Just after the Iron Curtain fell. Coincidence? I think not.

Finally, only Communists would have put up with Brainy Smurf's mouth like the Smurfs did.
