All is very quiet in our little blog ring. Where in the heck is everyone? Steve posts about Mike and Toni at the hospital and never gives us the ending? That's like tearing the last 10 pages from a book. Ernie is his longest drought since I can remember. Work must be busy. Clint must of have soaked up some of that coolant and now his fingers are so numb he can't feel the keyboard (or his toes) to type. I won't even go into Evette and her initial post on January 6th with no followups. So let's go bloggers, I need some stuff to read.
So everyone is still talking about Janet's 'slip'. Why aren't they talking about her and Justin's simulated sex on stage? Why aren't they talking about Sean P. Diddy Combs and the fact he rapped about drugs? Or how he and Nelly were smackin' fannies all over the place? The whole show was totally devoid of any morality or serious artistry. I am sure we will get a 3 hour version this Sunday at the Grammy's. I won't be watching by the way. Have you seen the nominees? If you don't believe popular music is on the decline, just check them. But back to the matter at hand. Why is anyone surprised by the filth of the Halftime Show? We live in a world full of filth, of which MTV is the undisputed heavyweight champ, and we are shocked that they put that show on? I'm not perfect. I don't always watch what I should, but I am really getting sick and tired of how low the entertainment industry has gone. And here is the kicker, it's only going to get worse. There are fewer and fewer things that are taboo. There is very little left to push the envelope with. The Bible says in Titus 1:15: To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. That is where we live people. Our world has redefined morality and purity and made them both relative. Things that are wrong have become acceptable. Ways of conducting ourselves that were once thought sinful are thought of as our right as free people. No one wants to tell anyone they are wrong anymore because it will put a little light on what they do that is wrong. I struggle everyday to keep my thoughts and actions right, pure, and good. I don't always win. But thank the Lord for the wisdom and strength to at least recognize what is wrong and struggle against it. If you are reading this, I hope that struggle goes on everyday with you and that God is right there with you. Because he's your ONLY hope.
Love yuns...
