Hey, Ya Know What?

It's Friday. Finally. It was a long week. Yesterday was one of those days that I was just glad was over. It ended last night with Ricky doing a bigtime faceplant onto the kitchen floor and coming up with a mouth busted open worse than we've had to deal with so far with any of our kids. He cried and cried and cried. He's never cried for so long I don't think. He had a pretty good cut on the inside of his upper lip, but all of his teeth were fine and the cut was on the inside. So he's fine. Mike, you get to look forward to such things. Before you know it, you'll be dealing with your first injury that is more than a little scratch. Don't freak out. Well, yeah, freak out if you want. I do. I mean, it's my kid. They are hurt. I love them and don't want to see them injured or crying. But don't freak to the point you don't know what to do.

Reality TV Observations. I am gonna start commenting on some shows each week. Yes, reality shows are a current vice for me. I am just hooked on them. So, Bill wins the apprentice. He was my call about halfway through the season. I guess I have an eye for talent. Over on Survivor, Rob is playin' everyone like a fiddle. I'm not crazy about the dude, but I have to say, he knows how to play a good game. JPL is gone from American Idol. I really liked this guy. He has a weird voice, but from the moment Simon told him he looked like a pen salesman, he was cool with me. I'm pullin' hard for George though.

Tonight is the Ern's big move. I gave him a couch a couple of months or so ago. I gave it away thinking, HA! I never have to deal with that big ole beast again. I assume he still has it. If so, the couch will be mocking me this evening. Yay.

Rob and anyone else who cares... Chris Tomlin will be coming to Greeneville on June 17th. I'm pumped and will be tryin' hard at a chance to meet him. We do more of his songs at church than any other single writer right now except maybe Matt Redman. It would be great to let him know how much his ministry has meant to me and the church body I meet with.
