Oh yeah... I know I said I'd never talk about Kurt Cobain again. Well I have had a change of heart and I think that my new opinion is ok to go ahead and post. I've thought long and hard and now agree. Kurt Cobain was a genious and like so many, was also a tortured soul. He singlehandedly turned rock as usual on it's ear. We went from glam to grunge at warp speed. That is quite an accomplishment and he deserves kudos. I think that he and the Seattle movement are definately in the top 10, maybe top 5 events that changed rock forever. He had a knack for getting down and dirty in his lyrics yet still striking a chord with all who heard and understood. That is simply masterful. Also, who cares if he helped give rise to the likes of Nickelback. I actually think they are very misunderstood by the like of Ernie and I and I have grown to like them quite a bit. So Kurt, here's to you buddy. I'm sorry.
