Ok... I am weighing in on Creed. The first album was a great one. Torn is one of my favorite songs from the 90's. I totally agree with Steve on this one. But, here is where I began to despise them. First, after that album, Scott Stapp fell in love himself. He was on the cover of every music mag out there with his shirt off, or open, or whatever. When the second album came out they went totally overproduced. There was nothing raw at all. Not that the first album had a ton of freshness to it, but it had much more than the second. By Weathered, it was simply a formula and they did perfect it. Of course Michael Jackson perfected getting little boys drunk for a while too. Doesn't make it a good thing. It will be interesting to see the 2 new faces of Creed.
The Lakers are a joke. Even if they win it all, they are a joke. To come out, at home, and play with as little energy and intensity as they did was ridiculous. It's yet another thing to hate the NBA for. The league has no skill anymore and now the best players only play hard when they want to, or have to and not because they love the game. The NHL is close to folding and if the NBA doesn't do something and do it quick, they will be in the same boat in the next 10 years.
A few last words on Reagan. What a great man and great president. Without him, who knows what kind of world we'd live in today. He stared down the Soviet Union and made them blink. 15 years later, it's easy to forget how important that was. I remember growing up wondering if I'd make to 30 before nuclear war took us all out. Heck, I wondered at one point if I'd make it to 18. Reagan was bigger than life in many ways, but still talked the language of the common man and knew exactly how to relate. You don't win in a 49 state landslide unless that's true. He was a great man of morality and integrity. He has been sorely missed since he left office...
