Gravy Moses! Someone says Tim Smith and bla-dow! Mentioning his name is almost as controversial as bringing up Jesus. I ain't jumpin' into the middle of it all, but let me say this. I know everyone makes a valid point in general. We have different views of people and situations. We all have different experiences and there is no way to impose ours on someone and get them to go, "OH YEAH! It didn't happen that way with me, but I totally understand now." It just doesn't work that way folks. My kids are going to tell you a much better story about me than the girl I did wrong back in college. Am I the same person I was back then? Nope. Does that make what I did sting any less? I doubt it. So while forgiveness is important and we should all try and be as compassionate as possible, perspective is going to color our emotions. It just will. And as long as we are human, we will struggle with all that.

Heck, I'd just like to play 18 holes with ole Tim and see how he's doing. And whip his tail all over the course like I do Ernie. ;)
