Rock on! I want my helmet!

Kingsport is lacking in many ways. But as a father of 4 I can tell you, there aren't many places better to raise a child. I'd probably have moved away were it not for that fact. Plus, heck, I don't need much money. I just need to get the bills paid and the kids cared for. I don't need toys or a big fancy house. Lord knows I don't care what I drive. More than anything, I just want my kids to grow up where I don't have to worry every waking moment about whether they are safe or whether they are learning some messed up crap in school. So yeah, the Tri-Cities has it's probelms. But the problems with most other places totally outweigh them IMHO. It's becoming a big time retirement area. Young folks leave all the time. But I am very glad to stick around. This is where my family and all my friends are. So if I have to suffer a little bit of hardship every now and then to stick around, make it so. If everything above were taken care of, I'd clean bathrooms the rest of my life and never think twice.
